It's a slap in the face,

A statement not delivered lightly,

As the mark still remains,

The evidence still stains

Even if you behave all contritely.

The tasks that are stressed,

Are irrelevant at best

When one impresses how odds are stacked.

Your minions went shopping,

They purchased a sham,

Thinking this could comfort

The cold, desperate lambs.

A push that's sweeping us over the edge.

Don't fret about fall out,

Unable to walk out,

We're all huddled here, trapped on the ledge.
