Hiding In The Peanut Butter

August 9, 2025

With just two more days of medications due, Grizzly's lesson to me is running out of time.

Hiding In The Peanut Butter

I avoid the news,

But it still leaves me blue.

I walk four miles a day,

But feel lethargic anyway.

I know all about "perspective,"

But can be borderline depressive.

I understand how good I have it,

But fall into a history of bad habits.

-----------------------------

And you, my little ball of fur,

Barely showed the malady you incurred.

With just one look, your tail flies

And you have a glint in your eyes.

Why can't I be like you,

Acting all giddy as you do,

Not knowing the secret to feeling better

Is hiding in the peanut butter?
