The shit-grinning lame duck

Or the still warm corpse?

(They're in bed together anyway.)

Watch the waddling fowl

Promoting his next bride,

While his freshly dead wife

Jerks randomly at his side.

(He's already planned his get away.)

A nice spacious hotel room,

Local native and a photo op,

Next chapter's already started,

When the last's not been stopped.

(Along with the generous pay.)

For good taste

Or amazing grace

In the marketplace.

For the dead

Before looking ahead

Or climbing into the next bed.
