On a mostly deserted college campus

Is no time for accountability.

To hold then an open meeting

For review of potential candidates

To lead the county's largest employer

Allows no time for accountability.

To not announce such special meetings

Until the day before

When a perfectly fine already scheduled one

Will be in less than three days

Reveals no time for accountability.

Lest we be swayed by the premise of urgency,

We must remember that this opening

Has been known for nine months,

The apparent gestation no-time for accountability.
