I'm All Right, I Think

Circa 1986

I'm All Right, I Think

I'm all right, I think.

I take my time when I drink.

I still shower when I stink.

I wash the dishes in the sink.

I write bad poetry when on the brink

Of losing my sanity.

--------------------------

I'm all right, I hope.

I don't go reaching for rope.

I don't go out scoring for dope.

I don't read books called "Learning To Cope."

I don't stop myself when I mope

About losing my naivety.

-------------------------

I'm all right, I guess.

I understand my life's a mess.

I iron my shirt before I dress.

I call friends and I confess.

I just go about and my best

At living through misery.
